At the 2014 Milan show Honda displayed a concept and a running test bike for its long-promised road-legal replica of the RC213V MotoGP racer. Production was planned in very small numbers at the Kumamoto factory with sand-cast engine parts, and the price was expected to be extremely high. The prototype previewed the RC213V-S that went on sale in 2015.
